The first prints on Ferdinand Mypress! He arrived from Barcelona in the beginning of July 2017, and after playing the Catalonian national hymn to celebrate his arrival, we have been best friends and workmates since. The main reason for making long, narrow prints was to check that everything was right with the rollers. I had several sets of plastic plates with carborundum and drypoint, and during the process I made many more, combining them with chine collé on painted washi. The longest side of the prints is between 80 and 90 cm. The series consists of 17 prints.
I like to make signs in the gap between writing and drawing. That is how I learned to read and write, by copying, so I think my mind find the prosess kind of familiar.
