PLANTS CAME FIRST
Monoprints with drypoint on chine collé. Painting on washi paper reminds of velvet. Crumbling the paper, drying and rewetting it leaves marks, and gives it a character similar to fabrics. On this surface thin brittle and furry lines of the drypoint needle creates a contrast.
Everything organic is based on geomethry
GARDEN TREASURES
“Plants = Life”- 2019, approx. hight 70 cm
Based on old linocuts, I started a new series where the motive is organically growing during the process, inspired by working with pulp painting. Bits from prints are soaked in water, crumbled and kneaded, sometimes till it dissolves. The backdrop theme is the cration of land and organic material. Layers of landscapes connect, and the first life is established.
