The fine lines of the drypoint are contrasting the more vigorous brush strokes with carborundum, giving depth to the image. I like to print it all in black (or white), adding colors by use of chine collé, means thin layers of painted washi is glued into the image when printing. I explore the possibilities of the plate by making each print different from the others, searching different moods. Interested in knowing more about collagraphs and the use of carborundum? There is a “how to” blogpost here.
