Roligheden elementary school is located in a beatuful natural spot on Tromøya in Arendal. Surrounded by the forest, and having the sea so close, it was natural that the theme for the commission was WATER, NATURE, RAET. “Sthjerne” – a made-up word from the Norwegian words stjerne/star and hjerne/brain, referring to our origin, our affiliation in the big picture. The assembly consists of one big element 2 meters in diameter, plus several organic shaped elements down the wall, in touching distance.
